Wilson, Piscataquis County, Maine Genealogy

Wilson is an extinct town, now parts of Elliottsville Township, Greenville, and Shirley in Piscataquis County, Maine. In 1836 the town of Wilson was organized from Township 9 Ninth Range North of the Waldo Purchase in Somerset County (now Piscataquis County). Wilson was discontinued and its land divided among three other towns in 1849.[1] [2] [3]

County. The land that became the town of Wilson was set off as part of Somerset County in 1809; and then set off to Piscataquis County in 1838.[4]
