== Instructions ==
* All Wiki contributors can add or remove the Protect flag. 
* Add the Protect flag to a page by typing {{tlx|Protect}}
* Pages that include this template will be automatically included in the [[:Category:Protection requests]] 
* The Protect flag will remain on the page until the request has been resolved.
* If you are using the template only for documentation purposes, you can suppress the [[:Category:Protection requests]] by adding a blank ''category'' parameter, e.g., {{tlx|Protect|<nowiki>category=</nowiki>}}.

== Moderators ==
* When an appropriate request has been made, [[FamilySearch Wiki:Moderator|Moderator]]s can [[Help:Protecting and unprotecting pages|protect]] the page and then replace the {{tl|protect}} template with {{tl|protected}} to indicate it's new status.
