Buddhist Records[edit | edit source]

Buddhism appeared in Singapore during the 2nd century AD and is practiced by about 33% of the population.[1]

Hindu Records[edit | edit source]

Hinduism can be traced in Singapore back to around the 7th century AD. Hindus constitute about 5% of the population of adult Singaporeans.[2]

Islamic Records[edit | edit source]

About 15% of Singaporeans are Muslims. The majority of Muslims in Singapore, as well as those of Malay descent, follow the traditional Sunni Muslims.[3]
