The aims and objects of the society: To assist people to research their family history in Queensland, in Australia, and worldwide. To provide opportunities for people to further their knowledge of family history research. To preserve historical records and material bearing on the families and people of Queensland. Description of Collections QFHS maintains a substantial collection of reference books, microfiche, microfilms, CDs, maps, cemetery records, millions of unique records indexed by the Publications group, and a comprehensive collection of genealogical journals from both Australia and overseas.
