|This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.|
The Center is located on the south side of the building. Visitors should ring the appropriate bell to gain entry. Please note that microfilms are no longer available at this center. Most microfilms have been added to the internet and many more will be added in the future.
Individuals/families can do family history research through FamilySearch.org using its capabilities from home or local family history "rooms" in local Church buildings. When you get to the point that you have reached the research limit of those resources, it is time to turn to the Stake Family History Center. For everyone (members and non-members) we offer free access to Premium Family History websites, and the skills and experience of the many volunteer staff members to help researchers. Some premium genealogy sites available at the Family HIstory Center are Ancestry.com, Fold3, and Heritage Quest, among others.
