The Osage Reservation was established by Cherokee treaty of July 19, 1866 (xIv, 804); by order of Secretary of the Interior, Mar. 27, 1871; by an act of June 5, 1872 (xvII, 228); and by a deed from Cherokee, dated June 14, 1883 (Indian Deeds, vi, 482)[1].
