What is in This Collection?[edit | edit source]
This census enumerates all persons in Norway on 1 February 1801. The census is arranged by county, clerical district, parish. In the cities the census is arranged by street name, and in rural areas by district and farm.
Image Visibility[edit | edit source]
Whenever possible FamilySearch makes images and indexes available for all users. However, rights to view these data are limited by contract and subject to change. Because of this there may be limitations on where and how images and indexes are available or who can see them. Please be aware some collections consist only of partial information indexed from the records and do not contain any images.

What Can These Records Tell Me?[edit | edit source]
The following information may be found in this collection:
- Farm or residence name
- Tax registration number
- Person's name
- Position in family
- Marital status
Census Questions[edit | edit source]
With minor exceptions the forms are the same for the entire country. The questions in the first and last (7th) column are worded slightly differently. Bergen and Trondheim were divided into districts (rode), and Christiania was divided in quarters (qvarter).
