He married Jensine Birgitte Olsen (1848-1934) 1883. Descendants live in Washington, California, Oklahoma, Indiana and elsewhere. Descendants of Knut Runnestrand (1849-1920), who immigrated to America in 1869. He married Emma Ingebjorg Bjørnson (d. 1881); (2) Georgina Nestevold. Descendants live in Tennessee, Minnesota, Texas, California, Canada and elsewhere. Descendants of Barbraa Røynstrand (1853-1931), who was born in Norway, and immigrated to America 1892.
