Research use: Primarily for family relationships and to extend lineage beyond other existing records.

Record type: Records of schools, universities, colleges, academies.

Time Period: 1300-present.

Content: Names of faculty and students, sometimes dates of birth and names of parents, residence, dates of enrollment.

Location: National, departmental, municipal archives, schools.

Percentage in Family History Library: 3%.

Population coverage: 10%.[1]

There are also records of English scholars at French schools.
