  • Connecticut State Library, Guide to Archives in the Connecticut State Library, Third Edition. (Hartford, Connecticut: Connecticut State Library, 1981; Family History Library book 974.6 A1 No. 30).
The State Library also houses the Museum of Connecticut History (860-757-6521).

The Connecticut State Library is located in Hartford, Connecticut with Library Service Centers located in Middletown and Willimantic and the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is located in Rocky Hill.

The main branch in Hartford offers a wide variety of collections and the lower level of the building houses the Connecticut State Archives. The Connecticut State Archives hosts historical records, maps, indexes, newspapers, vital records, town histories and so much more.  Their website offers a Guide to the Archives in the Connecticut State Library here.  (this link will open in PDF)
