Bannock County, Idaho Genealogy
Bannock County, Idaho was created 6 March 1893 from Bingham County, Idaho. It was named for the Bannock Indians who reside in the area. The county seat is Pocatello.
Some of the early records of the county have been microfilmed and are available at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and at the Idaho State Historical Society Archives in Boise. Original records are in the county courthouse in Pocatello.
