The information in this list of Alabama Military Units comes from the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors web site (CWSS). That web site can also be searched by the name of a soldier.

Units 1st through 31st[edit | edit source]

  • 2nd Regiment, Alabama Reserve (63rd Regiment Infantry)
    2nd Reserve Regiment [also called 63rd Regiment] was organized in July, 1864, at Montgomery, Alabama. Many of the enlisted men were between the ages of sixteen and eighteen and were from the southernmost counties of the state.
  • 4th Regiment, Alabama Reserves
    4th Reserve Regiment [also called 65th Regiment] was organized at Mobile, Alabama, during the fall of 1864 by consolidating the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Alabama Reserve Battalions. The men, between the ages of sixteen and eighteen, were from Mobile and the counties of Conecuh, Macon, Coosa, and Dale.
