FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

White Rock is a suburb of Los Alamos, New Mexico.  Los Alamos is the site of the historic Manhattan Project during World War II and is still the location of the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Collections[edit | edit source]

  • A large collection of Los Alamos area obituaries dating from 1963-2008 is available. It was donated to the White Rock Family History Library in 2014 by the Los Alamos Genealogical Association.
  • In the library section, we have all 7 volumes of the "Annotated Record of Baptisms for the Dead 1840-1945 Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois" by Susan Easton Black and Harvey Bischoff Black.

Databases and Software[edit | edit source]

  • Family History Center Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. The portal is available on all 5 computers and is accessible using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Google Chrome browsers. 

Hardware and Equipment[edit | edit source]

  • 5 personal computers, a Lexmark printer, a Lexmark Printer / Scanner with the "scan to Family Search" software installed, a microfilm ScanPro 2000, and various older microfilm and microfiche readers.

  The local cemetery is called Guaje Pines and it is well covered by both findagrave.com and billiongraves.com.  The billiongraves.com work was the result of a 2014 Eagle Scout project.
