Wallace County, North Dakota was formed 08 Mar 1883 by Dakota Territory in present North Dakota from Howard Territory area. Then on 02 Nov 1889 it became a county. Finally between 03 Nov 1896 and 16 Mar 1905 it lost territory to Billings County and Stark County and in 16 Mar 1905 the rest of Wallace County, North Dakota went to McKenzie Countyand Wallace became extinct.
