Known Issues[edit | edit source]

Question 1[edit | edit source]

Question 1: When searching for the death certificate of my grandfather I found that the certificate had been skipped. Is there a way to obtain a copy of the missing certificate?
Answer #1: To be certain that the certificate you are looking for is truly missing be sure to look at the certificate number found on the record details page and move forward or backward arrows in the collection looking for that number, which is usually stamped in the upper right corner of the record. If indeed the record is missing you can contact support@familysearch.org and request a copy of the certificate be emailed to you or view it at the Family History Library or some FamilySearch Centers. Call ahead to check if the film is available at your local center. If you request a copy, be sure to include as much information as possible in your email request (name, date, certificate number, location and/or the DGS number).
