Protecting "Restrictions for Viewing Images in FamilySearch Historical Record Collections"[edit source]
I was surprised to see that this article has now been "protected" and therefore can't be edited by most users. If there was something about my edits you disagreed with, it would have been better in my opinion if you discussed it, as it supposed to happen on a wiki, rather than preventing collaboration by making edits not possible. If you are going to make such a bold claim that there are legal reasons why the article cannot be edited, please provide evidence (this can be done privately). --Av85647 (talk) 17:26, 12 July 2019 (MDT)

The content of this page was determined by FamilySearch legal counsel after their review and consultation. All of the statements regarding access to images in FamilySearch Historical Records articles have been created by our legal services. Therefore, it is inappropriate to change that content without their direct input. Because of this I have reverted the page to the previous version and protected the content. Thank you for reaching out to me on the Infobox template -- US NARA HR Infobox. Here is the page I was working on that used the Infobox and had limited number of lines to display. United_States,_Bureau_of_Land_Management_Tract_Books_-_FamilySearch_Historical_Records In the right hand sidebar, the list of FamilySearch Resources was limited to 10 entries. As you can see, there are 13 there. I am working on the Project to identify and replace the dcms.lds.org links with current links from the FamilySearch Digital Library. (Called the replace book links project) When I did the Control F on this page to find the dsms link to be replaced, the link was found in the code but the item was not displayed on the page to access. After doing some searching, I discovered that the Infobox template was not created large enough to display the bullet items that have been added over time. The parameter coding had been increased on the page for the additional items that were added over time but no one took the time to discover why these additional lines were not displayed. In order to complete the line items on the task list for my project, I needed to increase the number of lines to be displayed. I also increased the number of lines for the second group on that template. By the way, since increasing the number of lines displayed, I can see the additional lines on other pages on my task list. It appears that it is becoming more common to have more than 10 lines in that template. You might want to increase it to 20 to cover future expansion. Thank you for pointing out that a change needs to be made in another section of the template to complete the increase process. I saw that it worked for my needs and continue with replacing the bad link with the new one now that I could see it. It seems this has been a problem building over time as various individuals add entry items to the template parameters. Thank you for your understanding.
