Hello, I'm Susan Hawkins, a Service Missionary in the FamilySearch Wiki.
I have always had a deep love of history and genealogy. For over 40 yrs I have been doing my genealogy and helping others. I also have been involved in many local historical activities besides the constant activities of a mother and wife.
When I got my first computer in the early 90's I discovered the wonderful possibilities of genealogy and the net. I wanted to give back to the genealogical community online, rather than always being a user. I became a TXGenWeb county coordinator for three counties and worked for just over 15 years in the TXGenWeb. This was very rewarding and it was just what I needed as I had become handicapped. You can always do genealogy and you can find online ways to volunteer across the web no matter what your problems are.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints I have served as a Genealogical Consultant for more than 30 yrs, I have been a Family History Center Director several times. I also worked as an Ordinance worker in the Temple and it was wonderful. I love to help people find the information they seek. The Wiki is especially useful for your success.
