Church Records

In each region of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the church records will differ depending which country they are in today. The records are accessed in different ways, in different languages and are organized differently. Many are on FamilySearch, others have been digitized by regional archives on separate websites, and some are still accessed in person at the archives. You will need to know which country your ancestor’s hometown is in today to find them.
