The Forks Plantation, Somerset County, Maine Genealogy
The Forks Plantation is a Maine plantation in the forests to the west of the Northeast Somerset townships of Somerset County. The Forks Plantation, aka Number 1 R4 BKP EKR Plantation, aka Pleasant Pond Plantation, was organized from Township Number 1 Fourth Range Bingham's Kennebec Purchase, East of Kennebec River (T1 R4 BKP EKR) in 1859; a successor to the former plantation was organized in 1895 and continues to this day.[1]
