Research use: Valuable as a finding tool and supplement to civil registration where early records are lacking.

Record type: Documentation of birth, marriage and death and service of government employees.

Time Period: 1600- present.

Content: Documents verifying birth, marriage and death dates and places of civil service workers and their relatives. Sometimes military workers and slaves.

Location: National Archives, Municipal archives.

Population coverage: 5%.

Reliability: Good.[1]
