1883: the Stockbridge indigenous people, a remnant of the Mahican Confederacy, were moved from New York State, as were the Munsee a division of the Delaware Tribe. They were resettled in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the land had been purchased from the Menominee Tribe.

Records[edit | edit source]
The majority of records of individuals were those created by the agencies. Some records may be available to tribal members through the tribal headquarters.They were (and are) the local office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and were charged with maintaining records of the activities of those under their responsibility. Among these records are:

- Correspondence
- Health records
- Reports
- School census and records
- Vital records

The following agencies had jurisdiction over the tribe.
Six Nations Agency, Green Bay Agency, Fort Leavenworth Agency, Kansas Agency, and Delaware Agency
Superintendencies[edit | edit source]
Records for Superintendencies exist in the National Archives and copies of many of them are also available in other research facilities.
Military[edit | edit source]
- Wisconsin soldiers who served in the Winnebago War (Wisconsin Historical Society) - Transcription of Wisconsin Muster Rolls from the Winnebago War. Lists Prairie du Chien and Green Bay militia units along with Menominee, Stockbridge and Oneida Indians that served.
