Another source gives the following. The 6th Regiment, Missouri State Militia Cavalry was enrolled between 23 December 1861 and 29 March 1862. They were mustered in between 18 January 1862 and 22 April 1862. The Regiment was discharged between 26 February 1865 and July 18 1865. The Colonel in charge was Edwin C.
