Collection: "Orwell Remembered Volumes One and Two," both written by former Town Historian Mrs. Betty Martin, are both available for sale at the Orwell Town Hall in the Cogswell Free Public Library. Genealogical collection by family, photographic collection of Orwell people, locations and businesses (currently available for on-site viewing only); photocopies of Orwell census for the years 1850, 1860,1870, 1875, 1892 and 1905 (quality of photocopies is not the best); typed transcription of the 1855 Orwell census; assessment rolls dating back to 1853 are available for viewing, not copying, only as permissible by state and federal regulations.
