Stake and Ward Consultants and Leaders learn FamilySearch tools for helping members with Temple and Family History work. This class is taught in two sessions. Participants may attend any session in any order.
- Part 1: Learn about your calling and about FamilySearch’s tools that will help you engage members in Temple and Family History work.
- Part 2: Learn how to use the Temple and Family History Planner. Practice creating a Family History experience with ward members.

FamilySearch.org for Spanish Speaking Genealogists
FamilySearch.org has tutorials for managing your family tree, memories, Indexing, sources/merging records, and research. You can sign into FamilySearch with your own account and change the language to Spanish using your computer settings.

This is a basic review of all of the FamilySearch.org tools. This class is taught in four sessions. Participants may attend any session in any order.
- Part 1: Learn everything about your Home Page and review different Pedigree Views of your family tree for research purposes.
- Part 2: Learn how to edit, add, delete information and relationships on your Details Page.
- Part 3: Learn the different options in the Search Menu: Records, Genealogies, Books, Images, etc.

FamilySearch: Fixing Your 5 Generations Pedigree
This class will teach how to standardize vital information, attach hints and merge duplicate records, and prepare names for temple ordinances in your five generations pedigree of Family Tree. It is a one session class that is repeated each week.

This is a two part class.
- Part 1: Organizing Family History into Computer Folders
- Learn how to be more organized and efficient in your family history research and record keeping. Learn how to organize your research notes, photos, vital documents into family folders.

- With the aid of a computer, we can collect information as quickly as we do research. These sessions will introduce students to many software tools for documenting and creating research documents. You will be introduced to research logs, Family Group Sheet referencing, writing about your ancestors, and using helpful tools such as Notepad, snippet etc.

Understanding How FamilySearch.org and Ancestry.com Work Together
This two week class will teach how Ancestry.com and the FamilySearch.org family trees can communicate with each other in finding your missing ancestors.
- Part 1: Getting Started
- Learn how to create a church-affiliated Ancestry account and download your 4+ generations from your Family Tree to an Ancestry tree.
- Learn how to use Record Seek to attach Ancestry sources to your Family Tree.
- Part 2: Working with your Ancestry Tree
- Learn how to edit, manage and save Ancestry family tree.
- Learn how to search for missing ancestors in Ancestry public trees, attach new sources, edit names, dates, places, and add family members to your Ancestry tree.

This class will focus on the processes and tools for researching Swedish records. You will learn about the Swedish history, people and place, and language. It will be taught in two sessions.
