Known Issues[edit | edit source]

Question 1[edit | edit source]

Question 1: There seems to be some problems with the records in the Cape Girardeau waypoint. Can you clarify the contents of these records?
Answer 1:

  • The records for 1950 have been mistakenly placed in the Cape Girardeau > Marriage records 1877-1879 waypoint. These are records that were captured digitally initially and not from microfilm. There are no microfilms available for the 1877-1879 records. The engineers are tracing the issue and working to resolve it.
  • In the Cape Girardeau > Marriage records 1912-1921 waypoint the dates should be changed to 1919-1921.

Question 2[edit | edit source]

Question 2: Can you tell me if you have any marriage records for Crawford/Phelps County?
Answer 2: There are two misplaced folders in the St. Louis County waypoint that are from Crawford/Phelps County; Justice of the Peace stray records 1857-1861, and County marriage records 1857-1861

Question 3[edit | edit source]

Question 3: I am seeing records that are not marriage records in Dunklin County. Can you explain this?
Answer 3: There are 3 sets of records labelled Index to Recorded Instruments Vols 4-6 that have been incorrectly placed in Dunklin County. They share the same film with the marriages. The engineers are aware of this and will resolve this problem.

Question 4[edit | edit source]

Question 4: I am looking for images for Jasper > Marriage licenses 1927-1928 vol 50. Are there more available?
Answer 4: The images for Marriage licenses 1927-1928 vol 50 were missed in the upload. There is no microfilm for these images. The engineers are aware of the problem and will resolve it as they can.

Question 5[edit | edit source]

Question 5: I am having trouble locating images in Lawrence County. There appears to be missing images. Can you help me with this?
Answer 5: In the waypoint Marriage records 1904-1908 vol J the digital film was created from microfiche. The images were filmed from pages that appear to be facing pages in a book, but were filmed with the right side first, then the left. Some of these sets were out of order as well. There is an added problem of two pages filmed on some images, but not all. These were filmed one above the other and so the bottom page is not noticeable when first viewing the image. You must scroll down to see the second page. When searching this waypoint, take all these issues into consideration in your search.

Question 6[edit | edit source]

Question 6: At the waypoint Ray > Marriage licenses 1960-1967 vol 23 there are no images. Are these images available for viewing?
Answer 6: These images were missed in the uploading. There is no microfilm for these images, so at this time the images are not available for viewing.

Question 7[edit | edit source]

Question 7: Can you clarify the contents of the records in the St. Francois County waypoint?
Answer 7: At this time the only records in St. Francois County are Deed records that have been mistakenly placed there. Marriage records for this county may be found in the catalog by doing a keyword search using the keywords Missouri County Marriage records St. Francois. There are some records that can be viewed online.

Question 8[edit | edit source]

Question #8: Some records are missing. Where can the records be viewed?
Answer 8: See the answers below for information about known missing records and respective film numbers, if available, or an alternate online location:

  • Jasper > Marriage licenses 1927–1928 vol 50 are not available online or on microfilm.
  • Ray > Marriage licenses 1960–1967 vol 23 are not available online or on microfilm.
