From FamilySearch Wiki

Note[edit | edit source]

NOTE: Mexico National Census, 1930 was the fifth census conducted after 1895. Mexico attempted to keep a national census in 1868 and 1878, but the census was not accepted well by the people. Later, in 1900, the census was more successful and followed every 10 years. The most complete census is 1930, which, until recently, has only been available at Mexico’s National Archives. See the Mexico Census wiki for general census information.

Question 2[edit | edit source]

Question 2: The Event Type and Year Range (waypoint) title does not properly reflect the actual digital record content. How can I determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection?

Question 3[edit | edit source]

Question 3: Some indexed records have event place errors. How can I determine the correct information?
Answer 3: View the document to verify the correct information. The event place can also be checked by searching the Catalog using the film number included in the record detail page. See Finding microfilm numbers in the catalog (55632). A list of known problems below provides correct indexing information:

  • The record detail pages with an Event Place: Carcel Municipal, Acámbaro, Guanajuato, Mexico should be listed as Event Place: Acámbaro, Acámbaro, Guanajuato, Mexico. The associated Film Number is Film 1464213, Items 4-6.
  • The record detail pages with an Event Place: San José Del Fizonazo, Indé, Durango, Mexico should be spelled San José Del Tizonazo.
  • The record detail pages with an Event Place: Temósachic, Temósachic, Chihuahua, Mexico correctly link to the respective images. However, browse capability is not available.
