Known Issues[edit | edit source]

Question 1[edit | edit source]

Question 1: While browsing Camargo > Nacimientos in 1860-1879, there are no records beyond the year 1874. Where can I find these records?
Answer 1: The images for the years 1875-1879 for Camargo are not available online. However, they can be found on film 1106925 (Nacimientos 1860-1862, 1873-1875, 1877-1879). For instructions on ordering films please see: Ordering Microfilm or Microfiche.

Question 2: When I view the images for Tampico > Nacimientos 1919, the first image is a film number 1105908 which the Catalog Film Notes describe as Nacimientos 1929. Are images of records from 1919 available?
Answer 2: According to the Catalog Film Notes, film number 1106024 contains Nacimientos 1919. You can find these images online by going to Tampico > Nacimientos 1919 > Image 424 of 1095. A listing of the images online at Tampico > Nacimientos 1919 are as follows:

Images 1-423: 1 Jan 1929 – 30 Jul 1929 Film 1105908
Images 424-632: 2 Jan 1919 – 10 Apr 1919 Film 1106024
Images 635-659: 22 Dec 1919 – 31 Dec 1919 Film 1106024
Images 660-1095: 10 Apr 1919 – 22 Dec 1919 Film 1106024

Question 3: The images for Tampico > Nacimientos 1926 end with record # 1717. Are the remaining images (records # 1718-1782 that are found in the index located on images 5-36) available online?
Answer 3: The images for Tampico > Nacimientos 1926 record # 1718 - #1782 are out-of-sequence and can be viewed online on images 301-348.

Question 4: The images for Tampico > Nacimientos 1929 stop in July. Are the remaining images available online?
Answer 4: The available images for Tampico > Nacimientos 1929 are located on three separate films and they can be viewed online as follows:

Film 1105907: 1 Jan 1929 – 30 Jul 1929 Tampico > Nacimientos 1929, Images 1-484
Film 1105908: 30 Jul 1929 – 9 Oct 1929 Tampico > Nacimientos 1919, Images 1-423
Film 1105909: 9 Oct 1929 – 28 Dec 1929 Tampico > Nacimientos 1929, Images 485-906

Question 5: When searching Burgos > Defunciones 1884-1897, the index for the year 1890 is missing. Is this 1890 index available?
Answer 5: One page of the 1890 death index in the original records was found to be inserted into the book for marriages. It can be located in Burgos > Matrimonios 1882-1897, Image 358. It should be relocated in Burgos > Defunciones 1884-1897 after image 163.

Question 6: Some records are missing. Where can the records be viewed?
Answer 6: See answers below for information about known missing records and respective film numbers, if available, or alternate online location:

  • Burgos > Defunciones 1884-1897 is missing the 1890 index on image 163. The index page is found in Burgos > Matrimonios 1882-1897, Image 358.
  • Camargo > Nacimientos 1860-1879 is missing the years 1875-1879. Order Film 1106925 to view all the records.
  • Tampico > Nacimientos 1926: records #1718 -#1782 are not missing, but out-of-sequence and can be viewed online on images 301-348.
  • Tampico > Nacimientos 1929 is missing July-October 1929 records between images 484-485. The images are available in Tampico > Nacimientos 1919 > Images 1-423.

Question 7: The Event Type and Year Range (waypoint) title does not properly reflect the actual digital record content. How can I determine what digital records are likely to be found within a collection?
Answer 7: The list of known waypoint discrepancies describes the event type or year range existing in the collection:

  • Tampico > Nacimientos 1919 includes 1929 records on images 1-423 from Film 1105908. The remaining images for 1919 are out of sequence.
