Description of Collections: The Indiana Room at Marion Public Library focuses on the records and people of Grant County, Indiana and the surrounding counties. Microfilmed copies of the Grant county marriage, death, and birth records are available in the Indiana Room collection along with microfilm of newspapers back to 1867. Indexes to the vital records, obituaries, cemeteries, and much more can be accessed in a searchable database. Also available are thousands of files on area surnames and local history topics.[edit | edit source]

Services: Copies of records can be requestedfor a nominal fee. Microfilm reader/printers, copy machine, and public computers are available. The Indiana Room is fully staffed with knowledgeable staff.[edit | edit source]
