  • The 12 of March of 1887, the Province of Malleco was created. It was formerly part of the northern sector of the former Ango Colonization Territory.
  • A few years later, it was suppressed and incorporated to the provinces of Biobío and Cautín.
  • In 1937, the Province of Malleco was restored.
  • It has an approximate population of 199,000 people[1].
