Digitizing Audio

Our machine converts cassette tape recordings to a digitized audio file. Cassette recordings wear out more quickly than audio files and your family stories could be lost unless they’re stored in a digital format.

We also have a machine to convert 45 or 78 rpm records to digital format.

Make sure your family stories are preserved for posterity! Bring a flash drive large enough to copy all of your digital audio files onto it. (Flash drives must be formatted for a Windows computer and not a Mac.)

Digitizing Audio is a free service offered at the Logan FamilySearch Library. We look forward to your visit.
