8mm Film to Digital

Our projector copies 8mm and Super 8 film into a digital file format in real time—so you will need to wait for the process to be completed. Bring a flash drive large enough to copy all of the digital videos. Because video files tend to be large files, we suggest a 32 gig or more be used. External drives also work very well. ( Flash drives and external drives must be formatted for a Windows computer and not a Mac.)

Converting 8mm film to digital format is a free service offered at the Logan FamilySearch Library. We look forward to your visit.
