Hålogaland[edit | edit source]
Hålogaland was the northernmost of the Norwegian provinces. In the early Viking Age, before Harald Fairhair, Hålogaland was a petty kingdom extending between Namdalen in Nord-Trøndelag and Lyngen in Troms.
It now includes Indre Helgeland and Ytre Helgeland
