Dennistown (also known as Dennystown) is a Maine plantation in the forests of Somerset County first organized in 1852 as a district of the mega-plantation Moose River Plantation from:
- T4 R1 NBKP (now Jackman)[1]
- T4 R2 NBKP (now Moose River)
- T5 R2 NBKP (now Dennistown)[2]
- T5 R3 NBKP (now Sandy Bay Township)[3]
Maine's mega-plantations were disbanded in 1859 and split into their constituent parts. Dennistown was organized as a plantation in 1873, and confirmed and made valid in 1895.[2]
