Calftown is a district within Quincy. It was a German settlement. The name was derived because of the large number of calves in the district. It is currently known as the South_Side_German_Historic_District.

Cemetery[edit | edit source]

Woodland Cemetery is on a bluff, overlooking the Mississippi River. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in the state of Illinois. The first grave in the cemetery is dated 1847. Find a Grave is a place where one can search the Woodland Cemetery by the name of the deceased individual.
