Berlin
Berlin is an extinct town of Franklin County, Maine Genealogy, now an unorganized territory (township) of Township 6 North of Weld. Berlin was established in 1824 from the Township 6 AP (also known as Number 6 Plantation).[1] The 1837 population was 470, and 2,175 bushels of wheat were grown there.[2] In 1842 her incorporation was repealed.[3] This place is now identified as Township 6 North of Weld in the West Central Franklin townships of Franklin County.
County. What is now Franklin County was set off from Lincoln to Kennebec County in 1799; to Somerset County in 1809; to Franklin County in 1838.[4]
